THE BRAND FOUNDER 

Lilian Muhammed is the Founder and Creative Director of LONDRÉ TAN, a fashion accessory brand based in Johannesburg South Africa. The brand was created with the aim of producing great quality locally made fashion accessories with exceptional craftsmanship, a modern look and feel.

Lilian started her career in 2005 as a fashion stylist while studying for a B.Sc. in Mass Communication. She grew in her profession, becoming a contributing fashion editor for a top West African magazine before completing her undergraduate program. She later joined Cosmopolitan magazine South Africa in 2009, starting off as a fashion assistant where she styled and managed all fashion shoots in Johannesburg, and later became the junior fashion editor of the Magazine.

A strong believer in excellence, Lilian says the driving force behind her brand is quality and style. “Common practice in the industry has seen a rise in the import of numerous commercial fashion accessories, hence compromising quality and true style”.

Combining her passion and over 10 years of experience in the fashion industry, Lilian Muhammed has launched her own line of fashion accessories, designing and making quality leather accessories and jewellery – and also providing job opportunities and sharing her desire to improve the African fashion industry.

Lilian has also worked as a fashion stylist and consultant for different print and TV media and also appeared on different media as a fashion contributor, analyst and style enthusiast. She also has fashion retail experience from the United Kingdom, where she worked as an in-house retail coordinator at New Look South London in 2006

She lives in Johannesburg, South Africa with her husband and two sons.
